Star Wars: The Old Republic, abbreviated The Old Republic, SWTOR, or simply TOR, is a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game produced and released by BioWare, a subsidiary of Electronic Arts.
Description[]
Star Wars: The Old Republic was developed over the expanse of more than five years by BioWare Austin and LucasArts at a cost of almost $200,000,000. The Old Republic was first announced on October 21, 2008 and was released to the public on December 20, 2011. The game features 17 planets, 8 unique classes to choose from, and over 1,600 hours of story, and is the first MMORPG to feature full-scale voice acting. The Old Republic is also an expansive multimedia metaseries, including a four-book novel series, three comic series, and a number of short stories and additional content.
